I keep hearing about cleaning the contacts on the relays on the Yaesu 980.
I have an intermittent problem that I'm not sure if it's a relay or not. But because of the age of the radio, I figured it might not be a bad idea to pop off the plastic top and clean the contacts. The problem is I don't see an easy way to get inside the plastic cover. I don't want to spray anything inside the relay, I would rather burnish the contactss. Anyway, looking for any words of wisdom, So far, I have been leaving sleeping dogs lay. Joel AG4QC |
