hi
. ... currently i have a horz center fed dipole it's about 25ft on the hot side and about 40ft on the rf gnd side. It's a center fed, via about 5ft of 450ladder into a sgc237 at bottom of fiberglass mast. the sgc does a great job of tuning all the bands my swr are almost always great. but i was wondering if i were to add some extra length to it , if my performance would signifantly improve? the only way i could do it would be to add length starting at the end support masts, going verticlly down to the roof 'floor' and then following the roof edge. most i could prob add would be about 30ft on the rf hot side and maybe 20ft on the rf-gnd side altogether it's about 20ft off the surface of my roof wich is about 175ft off the ground ... anyone think this would give me some significant improvements?? ie is it worth it? thanks |
