Universal Radio lists the AOR WL500 loop antenna as discontinued and
Grove no longer has the item listed. AOR Direct still has it on their
page, but it is rather expensive buying in Sterling and shipping
overseas.

Does anyone know if AOR has quit making this and is their still anyone
in NA that has one in stock?

Excellent antenna, the WL-500, and it's a pity that it has been
discontinued. I have one, and it's an antenna which I would heartily
recommend, especially when you're in need of something which can be
used on the run. It's decent on batteries, too.

I don't know that you'll find any remaining stock of this product in
the states, but I know someone who ordered from AOR UK, where (at least
a few weeks back or so) remaining stock of the WL-500 was still to be
found. You will end up paying a bit more, however, as you yourself
noted.
