Looking to swap my Hallicrafters HA-5 VFO for something...don't know
what...but of boatanchor vintage. VFO is in excellent physical and electrical shape. No frequencies "weirdities" although on 80 M it drifts almost 1 kc in the first 15 minutes and then between 50 and 100 cycles per half hour after that. I have heard that is pretty standard unless you leave the VFO on all the time, which I don't after a piece of test gear I used to do that with nearly burned my house down some years ago. If you're interested, let me know what you've got to swap. I can send you pictures via email if you wish. Smokey -- Important note: When replying to my e-mail please delete the words, "nospam" from my e-mail address. |
