But now that you mention it, it seems to me that I heard them the just a
few days ago on 11875 instead of more than a month ago on the winter
schedule.

In any event maybe you meant 9685 KHz, 0500 to 0555 UTC.

I don't think Steve was referring to Channel Africa, but rather the
Voice of Africa...programming from Libya / broadcast from France.

Yes, it was Voice of Africa and its very 'interesting' news and news
analysis. They sometimes throw ten minutes of English programming into
their broadcast. Catching it can be a challenge.
