Anyone know how much space either of these programs use on a laptop? I
was just introduced to them yesterday during field day. I understand
they are free and one would just need to purchase the cords and
transmitter to go with it -- but I wanted to play around with it a
little on my laptop before I get all the bells and whistles that go
with it. Thanks.

Just DL and hook to your soundcard audio ports. You won't have any space
problems. I use them and a slow scan proggie on a pentium 133 mmx toshiba
notebook.

Don't throw away old computers, put them to work doing ham and shortwave
tasks.
