Passive Antenna Recommendations

I have a longwire already that came with my Sony 7600
but I'm thinking that getting a longer antenna will capture more
singal. Any recommendations?

Right now I've connected my longwire to the fireescape
however the end of the antenna is not metallic so im not sure
if this will imporve the signal since the longwire is not making
a contact with the escape.
