Gee, that's interesting, John, considering that the FCC Report and
Order eliminating the CW requirement doesn't take effect until 30 days
after it has been published in the Federal Register, and it hasn't been
published yet. Tell us, did the VEs tell you that you didn't need to
take a code test?

it is quite possible he passed the test today. used to be the results had to
be submitted within 10 days. I believe the RAO from the FCC issued effective
12/15 or prior to that - eliminated a "time frame" for results to be placed
into their hands or those of the VECs. SO - therefore - if the VEs were to
hold the paperwork for 30 days - yes - it is very likely he could have done
it.
