Power cord supplier

Hi All,

I need some power cord to use on antique fans. I would like cloth
covered cord, cloth covered round cord would be even better. Anyone
know where I can get this in bulk? ( as in under 100' ),

Thanks,
Mark S.

Mark -

For classic restorations or antique lamp designs -- look at SunDial Wire !
http://www.sundialwire.com/

Large selection of options - sample available
http://www.sundialwire.com/index.asp...S&Category=222

SunDial wire is manufactured with real cotton braid, for an authentic
vintage look and feel; yet, beneath the cloth covering, is a PVC insulating
jacket that meets UL standards for heat resistance up to 105 degrees
Centigrade, so you can be assured the wire you are installing is safe.
(Please check the details of the specific wire(s) you are considering buying
for information on whether or not it is UL-rated and the heat and voltage
ratings for that wire.)

Vintage Fans performs full restorations of classic antique designs.

They also carry wire for restorations

Radio Daze carries cloth covered hook-up wire for internal (Radio, etc.)
restorations

A quick search on eBay.co.uk for "cloth cord" threw up a surprisingly large
selection,
particularly in the shops, available to US, Australian or EU standards, for
starters,
(some from 1942, which I wouldn't trust, but mostly new production)
and a search for "lighting flex" gave yet more.

Some great specialty cords there at Sundial, but a bit spendy for my blood.

Radio Daze doesn't just have cloth hookup wire, they also have nice cloth
power cord for about a quarter a foot.
