I've had this happen (as have many, MANY others), and your best chance is to contact the local police where the fraud resides.. but even then, you'll get virtually no cooperation. ![]() |

Thanks in advance, Doug I tried the consumer protection/fraud route with the State of MI. They were most helpful, reviewed my evidence, and recommended that I file a claim. Only problem was, I'd have to fly out there to claim the $250 that was in contest. Turns out, the guy was selling a receiver previously destroyed in shipment and being re-sold to unsuspecting buyers. The gear was always returned but he, of course, never followed through with a claim with the carrier. My mistake was to A. trust the guy to begin with and B. never should have returned to him. At least I would have had a parts unit...! |

Makeing an assumption here== that you send funds (purchased) thru
the U.S SNAIL. Your 300 Pound Gorilla is the U.S. Postal Inspector (C/O. Your postmaster)! For Canada, (Yeh had problem there , too), try Royal Canadian Mounted Police (R.M.C.P) Both agencies take a dim view of Mail Fraud! Jim NN7K CP wrote: Post their name here to warn others.
