I have a RED(POSITIVE), BLACK (NEGATIVE) AND A WHITE WIRE (?????) What
is that used for??? Unable to power up the radio..thanks

Your post should be in rec.radio.amateur.equipment.

The white wire may be for an external battery backup.

according to the IC-25A user manual ,only 2 wire (red,black) is required.
