Question about Motorola Maxtrac radios.
I have 7 motorola maxtracs model number D44MJA7DA5CK. The are programmed
to 16 channels, but i have been told they are actually 32 channels. Does anyone know how to decode the model number to figure this out. The person who told me stated that a 7 in the model # is a 32 channel, and the 16 channels have a 5, problem is, this radio has both, and i'm not sure which digit represents this. any help would be appreciated. Question about Motorola Maxtrac radios.
The D in the model number means 16 channels, a 32 channel radio would have a
J. Here is what it breaks down to be: D = Dash Mount 4 = 30 to 50 watts 4 = 403-470 Mhz M J A 7 = Conventional (Not trunking) D = 16 Channel A 5 = 16 or 32 channel control head (Non Trunking) C = Revision (A is earliest B, C & D later) K = always there Jack K6YC "T.Pierce" wrote in message ...
