I ran a 1011-C for years on 10 meters with absolutely no drifting
problems.
It was the CB'ers that had the drifting problem because they wanted to
power
up the radio and talk 1.5 minutes later without letting the radio
thermally
stabilize.

The secret to the 1011-C(D) was that one had to keep the radio powered up
constantly. Mine stayed on for 2 years straight.
