If you watch you can get ones in mint condition on eBay. Granted some
are going for a very high price but an equal amount are going very
cheap. I recently bought two, one for $249 + 10 s/h and one for $223 +
15 s/h. Both were in perfect condition.

I paid $249 for my Uniden BC780XLT at the Uniden sto

http://www.uniden.com/docs/store/ite...rodcatselect=3

They call them referbished but mine was for all appearances brand new,
in fact thats what they tell you. I just checked and they are back
ordered but if you place your name on the waiting list it will come up
before you know it, just hold your horses for a while. You can continue
to check you status in line anytime you want.

Good luck

Seems that the warranty is only 90 days. I think I'd rather buy a new one
with a year warranty.

$275.00 will buy me a new scanner, so why would I want to give you $280.00
for your used one??? I just bought another BC780XLT for $275.00 form:
http://www.rcelectronics.net/
Then theirs the rebuilt right from Uniden for $249.00
http://www.uniden.com/docs/store/ite...?item=BC780XLT
BC780XLT - "500 Channel, Continuous Band Programmable Scanning Radio with
TrunkTracker III"
This item is in "Like-New" condition. "Like-New" units have been returned,
repaired, and reconditioned. These products are inspected and serviced if
necessary and are certified to work to the products original
specifications.

So lots a luck trying to get $280.00 for your used unit.
