Default For Sale: Yaesu FT-736R covers: 144, 220, 440, 1.2 GHz.

Think you'll find that even with the mods, you don't have a radio worth
more than $800 at best. I've seen many with all the mods you have for
under $700. Good luck anyway.

Love folks who haven't a clue on the value of radios. The 220 module is worth
around $250 - $300 alone... the 1.2 module more than that. Sell those two
module separately, and then, indeed, you have a $700 radio....

Love my 736R. Great rig. If the owner wants to sell the 220 module, email
me!!

but the bottom line is that this is an old radio with older
technology, there are no satellites worth working and the value has
dropped

Ah, the all-knowing rant. The type that asks twice retail for their rigs and
belittles others asking for reasonable (tho maybe a tad high) prices for
theirs. DO THE RESEARCH first....engage brain before posting (as you've
obviously NOT done). Unit, sans the 1.2 gig and 220 mhz modules, sell for
around $500 to $600. Add the value of those two modules, and you're in the
ballpark. Don't like his price? Make him an offer. Heh...try finding an
allmode 1.2 gig rig if you want nosebleed.

As for your mindless rant, I don't work satellites. Anyone want to sell one of
the 220 modules for a 736R for a reasonable price? I like my rig for weaksig
work.

all he did was question the price. What the hell is wrong with that.
He didn't flame the guy, talk trash or any such thing but mention that
the price was, according to him, off base. I saw a 736 sell at a hamfest
with most of the access. listed on this one for $750, top price

Sorry...you're incorrect on that point. Post #3 or so was:

Get with the real world loser. A 736 is not going to sell for $1000
unless Brit Spears left tit is the tuning knob....and then maybe not.

Pretty much counts as a flame. THE-RFI-EMI-GUY just pointed out that there was
not a rig which covered 220 and 1.2 gig. Don't think the TS2000 covers 220,
but not sure about that.

The radio sold for a grand....that's fine, as NN said, good luck with it. MY
post was that most FT736R sans the 1.2 gig module and 220 module sell for $500
to $700....and that the 1.2 gig module was in demand (as is the 220 module...I
then asked that anyone wishing to sell one contact me). I did a quick search
on the prices (and even on "ePay") but most of the rigs which I could find did
sell in that range...and the 1.2 gig module does tend to sell for $400 and up.
If the rigs sell, the price must be acceptable to the purchaser and thus is a
"fair" price. The unit sold. The price is valid. QED. No rant, no
price-cop. Think that came with NN's first post.

Thin skin? Heh...I'm in sales. Anyone want to sell an excellent condix
FT736R w/220 and 1.2 gig modules for $500 or so? I'm in the market. No?
Didn't think so. Wish you were right....I'd have 220 all mode capability right
now!

Stop your damn whining and bitching.
Next time you have PMS, stay off the internet.

Heh...this is USEGROUP...get real. Take your own advice, please. No bitching
or whining here. Just posting. And lets get back on the air, off the
computers!

(Google for Norman Nescio...interesting reading...esp. ref. Chicago...quite
possible, too..google for blacklisted journalist or column 98 with NN's name)

That flame was NOT aimed at the
seller in question who had the original post, but to one of the self-
appointed price police that responded with some trash talk of his own

Ah, error to you. Never said it was at the orig. poster. I even noted that
the SECOND comment was aimed at the price-copping NN. Yup...the anonymous
poster posing as NN (yes, grasshopper, anon posting) did indeed wish good
luck..as I also noted. First price cop was the POBF listed as NN. Finito.
Unit sold. Price was OK. QED

As for the final NN comment....Capice irony?

embarrassment...of course, having to hide as you do just confirms it.

Must be an aol thing.

Heh...I get it for free. Not one nickel paid for years.....heh.
