Have over 100 of these, package will come with a radio, battery, belt clip,

These radios are new old stock. They have never been used. They are the
Motorola MTS2000 Flashport, Top display, UHF portable radios. I originally
thought they were only 48 channels, but I have been informed by the outfit I
got them from that they are actually 132 channels...I've never heard of that,
but OK... They do not have the "mandown" switch but they are capable of that
option. Those who purchase these radio packages will receive a brand new
battery along with it. **THESE ARE NOT USED RADIOS*** Motorola's DEALER cost
on these radios was around $2,000 each, list price was somewhere around $2600,
but when you buy too many, you sell them cheap to get rid of them...their pain
is our gain!

I am curious............how do they actually achieve 132 channels, when you
only have a 16 position selector on the top, along with a 3 position A,B,C,
toggle switch? Was another switch added?
When I worked for Motorola, I never saw that option offered.

Me too - when you find out how to do it, please let me know - we have
lots of MTS-2000 Type I's that are just 48 modes. That would make lots
of people happy on our system!

Couldn't tell you how it works because I've never seen it done. The company I
got them from swears that they'll do 132 channels, but all I've ever seen a top
display do is 48 myself! Maybe it's something with the buttons as zone
selectors or something - I haven't got a clue. Or maybe I just got bad info.
Wouldn't be the first time it happened. Anyway, anyone interested, they're
brand new radios!

Maybe they're counting the PL codes as separate channels...they 'have' PL,
right?

I have a model 1 (A4) and can program over a hundered channels into it, but
as everyone said I can only get to 48. I solved the problem by buying a
used full feature face (A7) and used lab for a conversion. Now it has 160
modes. Try that......
