Maybe I've just been looking at this radio too long and have actually
found beauty.

I forgot to mention it has a dual receiver/transmitter, full DSP, which
I think is better than the TS-870 and all the CTCSS tones for FM
repeater stuff. Oh, and one more thing, you can set it up for remote
operation and also use it as a repeater. The list goes on.
