And I still say if you go to the Yahoo Groups FT-817 list, you'll find
one available. Never a week goes by that there aren't a couple for sale,
at least.

Yes, at Gigaparts.com for one. However, there are plenty of clean
used one available even cheaper on the Yahoo groups list for that radio,
too.
