Hello Howard,
This is an interesting rig but not a particularly good one. It tends to have
lots of synthesizer hash as you tune a band. The transmitter is okay, and there
were audio mods for it.
I think a fair price for it and the supply would be about three hundred and
then its wishful, because there is no line up for this radio.

Hope this helps ,
Paul

Like most Heathkits, there are those who are into the company who like them
as a neat example of the end of the line for Heath, mint ones are sometimes
added to a collection. As a radio, they are OK, nothing exemplary in
performance. The lack of support for service is a consideration, as is the
lack of goodies around to add to the station, like tuners, filters, VFO's,
etc.. The $300 range is about right, and there are nice Yaesus, Kenwoods,
and Icoms , for example the IC735, TS 430/440/140, etc., in the same range
that are really nicer radios, with plenty of parts availability either new
or from parts rigs, and stuff to complete the station always shows up on
eBay, eHam, QTH.com, QRZ.com, etc..

Just my two bits worth.
