Would you call a person with a PhD in brain surgery "lazy" if he
didn't want to learn

Well, some want to swap their converted 10m rigs for all band HF rigs...

I would
like to ask the "old timers" as to how many of you have recently,
within the last 3 years, have actually taken someone aside and offered
to try and teach them cw???

Perhaps a better question would be: "How many of you old timers have had

people
express an interest in ham radio and asked for help in learning CW".

Answer: Several for the first part, zero for the second part.

Wrong..... Very few for the first part, and alot for the second part.

It is not relevant because the FCC has

That isn't a blank check, Dan. The FCC has defined the debate - the goals
and purposes of the service. If the Amateur Radio community doesn't reach a
consensis within that definition, the FCC clearly isn't going to act on that
consensis (and will decide the matter on their own). None of the pro-test
arguments I've seen recently fall within that definition.
