other electronics is... 1. MOISTURE!! You can not completely keep moisture out of the cab.. 2. 24 volt system.. ACTUALLY mine ran at about 27v - 28 v This plays hell with a 24v - 12v converter.. 3. ROUGH RIDING TRUCK.. Most radios and electronics will NOT hold up.. I sold mine.. It was a GREAT BIG TOY.. and bought a regulay Hummer... Good luck Steve "Matthew D." wrote in message t... Howdy, My question is for all you military radio buffs. I'm going to restore an Ex USMC Humvee and I need to know something about the radios that are used currently. At this point I know nothing about them. Since I'm also a Ham I'd like any radio I put in to work on the Ham bands and not just look cool, although cool is important too. :') Thanks for the pointers folks, Matthew D. |
