I guess you mean the lithium back up battery? I did not buy this radio new
and have never replaced it myself. Most litium back up batteries coszt a few
dollars at most. I do not use memories on HF, but the VFO stays right where
it was when I shut it off and turn it on for the next QSO.
The radio operates fine for me everyday.
