Motorola Spectra Scan Question
 

Is there a way to program this radio to do scan in squelched mode? I have only
seen that scan is in carrier mode and you hear everybody, wanted and unwanted.

Yes it will but scan will stop on priority channels regardless
of PL/DPL code. Speaker will stay muted unless correct PL/DPL
is being received. On Non-Priority channels it will scan until
proper PL is detected.

you have to set the scan in RSS to coded squelch scan, then you have to either
make sure the mic is grounded or find someone with the LAB RSS that can change
the rules for microphone grounding. There's an option there that lets you stay
in coded squelch mode regardless of the ground status on the mic.
