I have a question.
Why start bidding at $10.00 when the reserve is over $1000.00? Why not
have a buy it now price so as not to waste peoples time? I'm not flaming
you, I've always wondered why auctions start out so low but with very
high reserves?

I've always wondered at the point of reserves, anyway. You can just set the
opening at your 'reserve' price and be done with it. I guess it's a
psychological thing--the idea being to get people excited enough to bid up
to the reserve price and solve the mystery--but it seems kind of gimmicky to
me.

I've never wasted my time with reserve auctions, unless the reserve
has been met.
