Selling it for "parts" sure in hell can't be illegal. Some if not all can be
used to make an "H.F. Amp! Lou "Bob Miller" wrote in message ... On Thu, 13 May 2004 15:32:42 -0400, "Lou" wrote: FS: 1 - Linear Amp. Penetrater HB 200 "Amateur" Bi- Linear Amp. Again, it is NOT working and being sold for PARTS/EXPERIMENTATION. I can't see how selling a dysfunctional item is illegal. Not any more so, than selling a 2 way or ham radio to an unlicensed person as has been done numerous times, even by Radio Shack. Not any worse than selling a car with a bad motor or transmission to an unlicensed driver. They can't use it til they get it fixed, then the proper operation of the item is on them - not me. I doubt there's anything illegal about an individual selling the amp, even fully assenbled and working. It would only be illegal to use it within the ham bands without the proper license, or outside the ham bands, under any circumstance. Bob k5qwg |
