SELL: NEW HENRY 5K CLASSIC AMPLIFIER
 
Offering a new,out of the box, pristine, dummy load tested only,
Henry 5K Classic 10-80m amplifier. Runs a pair of Eimac 3cx1200A7's
making 2400W output w/100w of drive. ( Will make 3.5KW w/200W drive).
Amplifierupgraded with step start and heavy duty plate transformer. Operates
on 220VAC only! Original owner. Includes OEM factory operator's
manual and shipping carton for the amplifier and tubes. Too powerful
for my station. $3500 firm. Pickup only in the Scranton,PA area. Lou, W1QJ

Offering a new,out of the box, pristine, dummy load tested only,
Henry 5K Original owner. Too powerful
for my station. $3500 firm.


Hmmm.. so you shelled out $4 grand, got it in the house,
plugged it into a dummy load, and said 'dang - too much
power'??? Did you ever consider not running it full tilt?
Why would a guy spend that kind of scratch, without reading
just 'how powerful' the amp was in the first place?

Something doesn't make much sense here.

Usually what happens with the illegal high power amps is the return from
doubling the power output results in a received S-meter increase of only one
unit, a trap in the beam blows,checkbook balance is zero, fear of a grid
disaster from mistune is double, and blower noise is four times. Put the $
in one more beam director element!!

Hmmm -- thought that one S-Unit was generally 6db or 4 times the power
