You need both for it to be of any use. The tuner that I had found was an integrated pre-amplifier (volume, treble & bass) & also selected what source you were going to pump through the amp (phono, MW, FM, TV audio) Where's the AMP? i have a pilot HF56 integreted am/fm tuner / amp. it was made in 1955. this ones a monster. it uses a pair of KT88s driven by a 6SN7 for the output stage. it also has inputs for tape, aux, & magnetic p/u. it even has a separate level & damping control for the p/u as well as a selector switch on the front for equalization. i use this almost on a daily basis. -- It's a shame Linux has such difficulty running some of the more popular Windows applications: Nimda, CodeRed, Klez, WPA, Swen, SoBig, ILOVEYOU, MyDoom, Witty, Netsky, sober, Mimail, Dumaru...... Windows was created to keep idiots away from Unix. |
