Mobile in a Ford Windstar

Hello all !!

Will be installing a 12 volt line from the battery to the HF mobile rig in
the cab...
The van is a Ford Windstar 2002
Has anyone done this without any problems ??
I would like to know where you transferred the cable through or
Did you have to drill a seperate hole
and hoping that you did not cut through any wiring cable or lines ???

Thank you for reading my request

Ford products are bad about ignition noise
and fuel pump noise. The fuel pump is located
in the gas tank- you must get a dealer to install
a kit to kill the gawd-awful whine.
And you'll also need resistor plugs.
I'm a fan of Fords, but running them mobile HF
without these improvements is a pain.

I finally gave up on HF in either of my Explorers ( 92,96). Maybe I should

have gone the fuel tank filter route- but just did not have the time to let
them jerk with it. I have also heard the filter is not all that effective
above 75M.

A number of people have had problems getting warranty service (myself
included) due to installation of radios in a Ford vehicle.

Take a read:

I am STILL battling them for a lousy $420 for refusing to do any work
claiming the installation of two-way radios voided my warranty.
