motorola mic hmn 1056d microphone
Hi Folks:
I tried to fix this mic, but first I had to figure how to take it apart. I couldn't find any hits with google, so here's we go! There are three plastic latches inside. One is at the top, and two on either side, about an inch and a quarter from the opening of the mike plug. You may be able to poke a flat-blade screwdriver here, but it's a very tight case. I look now how I chipped-up the edges and think squeezing the back-half of the case on both sides, about an inch and a quarter up from the cable may snap it open. This mic has a bad switch. Easy to fix, but maybe hard to find the parts. Maybe at Digikey. I hope someone finds this useful! Harry |

Harry These are only like $36 new.Unless you really feel need to repair this I would just buy a new one.I could not find a part number for the switch for this model either.Any luck ? Parts ID at Motorola might be able to help you.I have not tried them yet. Wayne |
