Nice little piece. Many applications. Simple. Works with any handheld
using standard 2.5mm mic/PTT and 3.5mm audio out jacks, which includes
many if not most ICOM, Yaesu, Alinco and other brand amateur,
commercial, marine and aviation portables. Can rewire for other radios
which use a different type of speaker mike connector. Put radio and
repeater interface in high spot. Whatever the receiver hears is
digitally recorded by the repeater. When you drop your carrier, the
VOX in the unit senses this and keys the radio up and plays back the
transmission you recorded. Use for extending range, amongst other
things. No adjustments to repeater; only adjustment is receiver volume
for proper deviation on TX, a one time simple adjustment. Audio
quality is as good as original.
