Icom 271 ram boards?

Anyone recomend the solution to updating the Icom 271 vhf rigs ram
board? The guy in Italy doesnt answer his email after numerous
mailings, Is there a company here in US that copies the Icom
design. This 271 is in mint condition and works flawless, so I
would like to keep it a while before the internal battery dies.
