Why is it that MOST of the postings for ebay bids are OVER long before they're posted here?!?!?!

Seems people post items here when they see a poor response on ebay. I
say post here (and other related news gropes) after you post on ebay
and you'd get a better response!!!

Why is it that MOST of the postings for ebay bids are OVER long before they're posted here?!?!?!
 

How about not posting here at all!

This is not a secondary place to advertise eBay. The posts here should be offerings to fellow hams trying to save a little money on commissions and not extra hype for a for-profit marketplace.

I agree on the auction items, except if the EBay seller has a "Buy it
Now" tag, then he certainly would be welcome to post his "For Sale" item
here, too.

eBay posters are welcome here or anywhere. If it is an auction, it is
customary to put FA in the subject so people like MRR can reduce the
number of items available to them thereby increasing their expenses.

Exactly! That's where you have a fair and open market. Not this secret
"if you sell it to me i'll..." e-mailing society. I know how this type
of usenet group works and ebay levels the playing field...
