Heads up everyone! If your not willing to wait 3 months or so for
repairs dont send your ameritron, mirage, vectronics to MFJ
Enterprises for repair.

My vhf amp is been there now for 3 months and no end in sight for
repair. This a waste of time. I now have purchased a new one,
and will sell the mirage went it returns from repair!
!
Guess they need to hire some good techs for bench work!

a southern ham. will.

What did MFJ say about the delay? They don`t actually build
Transistors and other parts . they purchase them..If parts are not
available ,that could be the reason for delay..what did they tell you?
An old Ham

Heh.. spoken like a true CB'er....

When SMT rework is taught and tested in the hammy books, and when parts are
properly marked with non-proprietary numbers, [and a cross-reference
actually exists],
and companies will assist you in getting the parts needed, and mentality
changes from board replacement to component replacement, things will be a
lot better.
Should happen any day now, so stay alert.

ps: In other news, I recently noticed a shirt, printed with the words "Your
Retarded".....
LOL.

I bought antenna switch" Ameritron RSC-4" Such piece of sheet. Didn't work
since the beginning. I solder choke, it started work. Next day or two relays
burned with my 3-500Z...AMP
I bought relays. Again burned. sheety parts, unreliable manufacturing, but
very smart idea of remote switch...I wont fix it again, I'll sell it AS IS.
Brand new, has a warranty. Sheety MFJ......

You have been misinformed.. Henry amplifier is NOT out of business..
They can and do repair all Henry amplifiers manufactured to date..
They no longer make HF amplifiers (Tube or Solid State). Vhf and UHF
high Power amps are still manufactured today..

Henry amps live and well at URL:

As some one stated "Vhf and UHF
high Power amps are still manufactured today"
