Default GP68 Funny setting offset

Hi,

Recently got a GP68 and programmed most channels via the keypad fine.
However one of the channels I needs is for a repeater with different TX
and RX frequencies.

I followed the instructions and for reason it failed after attemping to
set the offset and it would not save to a channel. Now when I turn it
on it defaults to this, and I can no longer type in a frequency or save
settings.

I tried a reset but it won't even reset.

Please help, there is nothing in the manual about this!

Default GP68 Funny setting offset

After a while of being turned off it reverts to normal.

Here are the steps I take to set TX Offset

1) Set the step to 12.5
2) Set the RX frequency
3) Set the CTCSS for RX / TX e.g. 118.8
4) Press and hold (left button |) until '+ -' flashes
5) Enter the TX frequency
6) Press the light / transfer button

However after step 4 I cannot enter a frequency
Please help, I took the steps from the AP73 manual
