Looks like Dick couldn't make it. K0CKB and I stroked up K0RT and
made over 800 Q's. Among them were W4NTI and N2EY. No other rrap'ers
were evident.

You guys were burning up the bands from what I heard here. Sorry I didn't
recognize the K0RT call at first. Dan has given me 'Bama in SS for so many
years that I felt kinda disloyal working another AL first.

Lotta good signals, flares didn't do too much damage.. Towards the end I was
hearing serials above 1300.

I put in 15-16 hours and got 367 QSOs in 74 sections. Gave the K2 a rest and
used my homebrew rig (known as the 'Southgate Type 7' this year.

Boy was that fun. I gotta get in better shape for next year, though, I faded by
2 AM local.

Maybe I'll build an amplifier for the K2...lessee, single 811 in grounded
cathode Class B, full wave bridge power supply with old TV transformer. Or
perhaps it's time for me to dsign and build the 'Southgate Type 8'.
