I went up and worked with the Fulton County club(K8BXQ) for Field Day.

Man I think I got bit by the DX bug, worked 20 meters all the time I was
operating, until about 4:30 (EDT) AM this morning(Sunday). Worked a few
alaska stations, a few stations in the Virgin Islands, tried to work a
Hawaii station but he was working a huge pileup.

For some reason I had trouble getting heard when responding to CQs.
Might have been
too much QRM. Was running about 50 watts into a multiband vertical.

We went through 2 radios for 20m before we finally got one that worked
decently, 100W into a tribander at 70 ft? that was mounted to the bucket
of a cherry picker.

Adam KB8MDF had a cool idea to build a 160m loop, and then split part of
it off for 40m, last I talked to him saturday night when he left to get
some sleep he and Dave had around 100 contacts on 40 and I can't recall
how many on 160.

The only station we really had any problems working was the Hawaii, the
rest came back pretty fast, amazingly the Fiji station came back after
only one call.
