In the VHF newsgroup, Dwight simply stated personal reasons. He did not say
he was trying to make any "statement".

He said that here, too.

But people who make a point of announcing thier departure are seeking
attention for some reason. (eg: people who swallow a "handful" of "pills"
then call 9-1-1 to announce what they have done...)

Like I said...we'll see what happens. I say he'll be "around" Amateur
Radio for a long time.
