As the EDZ has gain on 10 meter would a reflector at 8 feet create more gain
and also FB?
The EDZ will have a bidirectional gain of about 10 dBi over ground.
One reflector will give you a gain of about 11 dbi over ground with a FB
ratio of about 3 dB, not really worth fooling with.
However, two reflectors arranged end-to-end will give you a gain of about
13 dBi over ground with a FB ratio of about 10 dB, not too shabby. Align
the center of the two reflectors with the standing wave current loops in
the driven element. (current loop = current maximum point = current antinode)
And what would be the effect on the other freq. will I also get some gain
and FB.?
Not unless you short the two reflectors together to obtain gain on 20m.
Gain on the lower bands can be obtained with a loading coil between the
two reflectors. Get fancy and install a motorized loading coil between
the two elements (like a screwdriver).
Or use two driven elements and phase them to get a beam on all bands.
(easier said than done)
