The amateur sailors name is Gerry Spiess. Hails from near me, White
Bear Lake, Minnesota, and in 1979 sailed his 10-foot boat homebrewed
(out of used plywood) sailboat, "Yankee Girl" from Norfolk, Virginia to
Falmouth, England.
