actually, made by Philco in 1942, with a big WWII-vintage Royal
Canadian Signal Corps decal on its side - pretty neat!).

But...I've got you beat on who made what...the Lewyt Vacuum
Cleaner Company made a bunch of 7-foot tall BC-339 trans-
mitters for the USA Signal Corps during WW2. Said so on the
little nameplate. I suppose some (who weren't born yet until a
decade after that war) will say "those suck!" :-)
