C'mon, Sven, you know more boxes means better sound. A syndicator in
the 70s created a magic box whose innards were so secret they were
hermetically sealed. Everyone agreed it made a dramatic improvement in
the sound if you installed the box and removed all other processing,
except a limiter.

Someone committed a crime nearly as serious as ripping the do not
remove label off a mattress and opened the box, broke apart the
sealant and discovered two wires that connected the input to the
output. I think the AC supply simply lit a pilot light.

Its only purpose was to inspire the removal of all the smashers and
mashers in the line.
