I'm finally getting around to drafting a charter for the newsgroup and
Digest. I occasionally get questions about what's appropriate to post here,
and I believe a charter would be quite useful.
So I'm trying to decide what should be on-topic; and I want to include
everything we talk about. I'm also looking for a one-line definition of
what the group is about (heh, that oughtta be fun.)
So far, my on-topic list is:
*Discussion of broadcast technology
*Discussion of the radio industry
*For-sale or for-auction posts selling broadcast equipment
*For-sale or for-auction posts selling radio memorabilia
*For-sale or for-auction posts selling radio stations
*Periodic announcements of Internet broadcasts. Could be one-liners or
more detailed posts like the ones we see from WCBN.
What should I add? And do y'all think we should include other stuff like
shortwave and ham discussions in the on-topic list, or should we stick to
the traditional AM and FM bands? (I do already post periodic newsletters
from Amateur Radio Newsline.)
Discussion welcome in e-mail, but preferred here in the newsgroup/mailing
list.
