Strange, though. The FCC's data base still shows KRTS on 92.1 with the owner as
KRTS, LP. KROI is shown as unassigned.
The FCC is notoriously slow to update its on-line database.
I recall that Clear Cut was to buy this station.
The station was purchased by Radio One, not Clear Channel. As
reported in Radio & Records, the new KROI, which joins CHR/Rhythmic
KBXX and Urban AC KMJQ in Houston in Radio One's Houston cluster, will
go head-to-head against Clear Channel's crosstown Hot AC KHMX (Mix
96.5).
