If there are any radcio listeners here in Kalamazoo listening.
Can someone tell me what the deal is with WNWN 98.5 broadcasting on 95.5 as
well as it's regular frequency? I discovered this while searching the FM
band this morning. I thought at first that it was the radio that I was using
but when I turned on my large stereo system and punched in the duplicate
frequency I found the same station on the big radio as well.
So what's the deal? Is it my radios or are they going to put a new station
in the 95.5 spot?
TIA
Robert
It's a translator/booster to improve the 98.5 signal in the downtown
areas of Kalamazoo. I never had a problem hearing WNWN-FM in downtown
Kalamazoo in the car, but it might be necessary to help penetration into
some buildings.
There is no way that they could put a full power station on 95.5.
