hi, i'm new to CB radio... How many channels
are there?
40 on cb.
It looks as if there are 40 channels, but i see
some cb radios advertised that can go to
ch.80... what gives?
Do you have an example of such a cb and a specific website in mind? A cb
touted as having 80 channels? Highly doubtful, but since you have
specifically provided for the example, please now cite the webpage where
you saw this cb touted as 80 channel.
Any website i visit says the legal frequency
range is from 26.965 to 27.405 MHz, and ch
40 IS 27.405 so it doesn't make sense to have
another 40 channels present.

Really? Again,, which websites have you visited?
Speed limits only go to 70 MPH in the US. According to your logic, it
makes no sense they go faster. Consider yourself helped, unless the
analogy is lost on you. No cb is manufactured for sale in the US with
more than 40 channels.
