You can get a pair of communicators that are good from ship to surface.
We use them all the time on landing parties. They work very well.

My "communicators" are unsurpassed and time-proven over the years. They
give flawless performance. I point to my group of followers as
testament. My crew of followers is not capable of having their minds
enlightened, Captain Kirk,... something you picked up on.
