We suggest core aeration every season as long as your thatch layer
isn't more than 1/2 inch thick. If it's more than that you're
better off using a de-thatcher. You can rent either machine.

Actually it's not all dead grass, much of it is part of the living
plant and a small layer helps protect the soil from the sun and
weed infestation.


hows this, when sinking a ground rod you have to pass through a build up
of thatch which is part of the natural evolution of grass... covered it
i guess (no pun intended)


I like it! If you load up your thatch layer, is it considered ground wave?
