I have an old double tank aqualung that says "US Divers" on it. I plan
to
fill it with compressed air from my shop and use it to dive a quarry.
You're better off having a good dive shop check them out first, for
internal rust, etc. They probably need both a Visual Inspection ("VIP")
has well as a new Hydrostatic ("Hydro") certification. The former runs
around $5, the latter closer to $25.
What is the max pressure rating for these tanks?
If they're as old as you're making them sound, 2200psi. There should be
stampings on the tank's neck area that will tell you the manufacturer,
the material, the pressure rating, etc...again, a good dive shop can
decipher these for you. If there's a "plus" rating, its expired by now.
Good luck & be careful,
