I started out on AM over in Hawaii, with my handle I used to get replys from
Japanese Fishing boat. When I moved back to Calif. I picked up a Sear mobil
AM/SSB and stayed mostly on SSB from then on. Then in the mid 80's I took my
base to a shop to have a slider put in and when I got it back, the shop had
totaly screw it up and they closed up not long after. So been out since
then.

I've been out of CB'ing for some years, but would like to get back on the
air. I live on a fixed disabilty income, but I would like to find a
40channel Sideband cb radio ( last one I had was the Sear AM/SSB one that
was base/mobil ) that I could get on nov.1st. Also any old PDL beams
laying
around unused?

I am also an old sidebander. Even thought I dabbled with CB back in the
mid
to late 60s, I got hooked in 70s like so many others. ALmost immediately
I
went into SSB.
