Look, no offense, the only thing that's been "discredited" in this group in
the last 2 months (since I've been here anyway)is the fact that the hams (or
those professed to be so) are a bunch of whining azzholes. Some, including
yourself, add MUCH needed tech/help. But MOST hams are only here for ONE
purpose, to disrupt the group.....

Legal or illegal makes no difference to me.....since the group *is*
rec.radio.cb. Not legal.cb/illegal.cb or HAM. It's also NOT up to the
group to determine what's legal/illegal imho. We already have a FCC to do
this. Geez, the population of the cb'er is so damn small I can't believe
hams actually waste their time bitching about it. Back in the 70's-80's,
that was a different story.

I'd rather read "illegal" cb crap than the disgusting remarks made by
alledged hams. I condone neither....but the latter has NOTHING to do with
"cb".

There is NO excuse for operating ANYTHING illegally...there's also NO excuse
for a ham to come to a "cb group" and state the obvious....other than the
fact that the ones who do, are bigger keyclowns than the ones they profess
to police. Just look at the damned posts???? Disgusting representation of
hams I'd say.

Ham licenses are practically given away. All you need to do is take a
test, but the questions for the test come from a question pool that
the FCC makes public -- you already have the answers. And it costs
about as much as a happy meal. How much confidence does one need?

alls bleat on about how crap cb radio is.(CB - Citizens Band) Get it!


Yes, I get it -- Citizen's Band -- not Criminal's Band, or Children's
Band, or I-want-to-be-a-ham-but-don't-have-the-confidence Band, or
It's-not-illegal-until-you-get-caught Band.


If you profess to know all, how can you learn.


Learn what? Many excuses for operating illegally have been presented
in this newsgroup, but none of them have held up under scrutiny. If
you have one that can, I'm perfectly willing to hear it.

And don't get me wrong -- I'm no goodie-two-shoes, and I have just as
much disdain for the FCC as anyone else here, maybe even more. But I
need a damn good reason if I'm going to violate federal laws and risk
a fine of several thousand dollars and/or time in federal prison.

So my mind is open to learn -- what do you have to teach me, Jason?
